Ignite Centre Gets Funding
The Ignite Adult Learning Corporation will have a few more dollars to put toward helping Reginans enter the workforce after receiving a federal government grant.
This week, the government gave Ignite $312,000 through its Skills Link program.
The grant will go toward a project in which participants attend skills workshops and gain work experience through job placements with local employers.
The Skills Link program helps youth facing barriers to employment, such as single parents, youth with disabilities and youth in rural and remote areas.
Skills Link is part of the federal government's Youth Employment Strategy.
